Big week. Let me save you the scrolling.
1. Google went agentic.
At Marketing Live, Google rolled out a Business Agent that turns static lead forms into live conversations grounded in your own website content. They’re also testing AI agents inside Search ads, starting in India — and if it starts in India, Nigeria is usually next in line for emerging-market rollouts. Start thinking about how your landing pages read when an AI is the one answering questions for you.
2. Google Business Profile now connects to GA4.
This one is huge for local businesses. Calls, bookings, direction requests, website clicks — all now trackable inside GA4. If you manage any Lagos or Abuja business profile, connect it this week. You finally get to prove that your local SEO work drives actual calls.
3. Meta expanded Advantage+ Catalog Ads.
More advertisers can now auto-generate personalized ads straight from their product catalog. For Nigerian e-commerce brands running manual product ads: test this before your competitors do. Also worth noting — Threads just crossed 500 million monthly users. It’s not a side app anymore.
4. TikTok has labeled over 3 billion AI-generated videos.
Watermarking plus creator disclosures. The platforms are drawing a line between human and AI content. If your content strategy is 100% AI-generated with no human touch, the labels are coming for you. Blend, don’t outsource your voice entirely.
The pattern across all four? Agents are becoming the interface. Buyers will increasingly talk to an AI before they ever talk to you. Your job now is making sure your content is what the agent reads.
Which of these affects your work the most? I’m discussing all four inside the community this week. Join the tribe → digitrybe.com/community
